Data Maps: D-Maps®

An invaluable tool for efficient data collection and dissemination

How often do you find yourself rummaging through countless reports, presentations and spread sheets to pull together the latest results from several trials?

Do you find the information you need is spread between several departments?

At Innoval Technology, we've recognised this situation and developed the D-Map® to record data and make it accessible to everyone who needs it.

The Software

The D-Map® software is based around the K-Map framework. It consists of a matrix with the axes defined as the product tests and the product family. The intersections denote the tests carried out on each product family.

Level 1: Data Map
Level 1: Data Map

Behind each intersection is a page containing a Data Grid and a Summary of the results. The Data Grid could, for example, hold the results from a set of tests to evaluate different raw material suppliers (the data in this example is for demonstration only and does not reflect reality).

Level 2: Results Table
Level 2: Summary Level

As well as numerical values, the Data Grid can store charts, images and photos. It is also possible to link to documents, such as test procedures and product specifications. If required, we can upgrade the software to incorporate comparison charts.

Level 3: Chart or Image

The D-Map® is developed to your specification. It can be held on a server or on your company's intranet, with appropriate password protection, so that it can be readily accessed and updated as more results become available.

If Innoval Technology is doing material characterisation work for you, we can host your D-Map® remotely and put the analysis results straight into it. You will therefore have access to your results the minute they are available.
