Dr. Tom Farley
Managing Director
Tom studied Applied Physics before completing a D.Phil in Solid State Physics at Oxford University. In 1989 he joined Alcan's Rolling Process team working on issues of profile, flatness and heat transfer before becoming Alcan's world expert in mill and process vibration phenomena. Tom subsequently managed Alcan's Rolling Process Programme, coordinating technology solutions for a global distribution of plants.
Tom was appointed Managing Director of Innoval Technology in December 2006.

Dr. Geoff Scamans
Principal Scientist
Geoff has worked on the control and exploitation of the corrosion of aluminium for more than 30 years. His present interests are in environmentally friendly surface treatment, and in low cost aluminium automotive sheet for the mass production of lightweight low carbon emission vehicles.
"Cost barriers and perceived technical constraints are limiting the wider use of aluminium in vehicle structures. However, at Innoval we are able to successfully address the technical issues, and we are working towards low cost production methods for aluminium automotive sheet."

Dr. Gary Mahon
Director & Senior Metallurgist
Gary is a Metallurgy and Materials Science graduate with a PhD from Birmingham University (UK). He has worked in an industrial R&D environment since 1989 and has led multidisciplinary teams addressing issues of product improvement and technology transfer. In recent years Gary has been applying his experience of global manufacturing operations to solving knowledge management issues. He has designed and implemented knowledge mapping systems for the transfer of best practice in the manufacturing sector.
