Aluminium Foil Training Course at Amcor Flexibles Singen

aluminium foil training course

Background

Amcor Flexibles Singen (Germany) operates one of Europe’s major aluminium foil rolling plants. In October 2011, our foil rolling expert Vicente Martin and metallurgist Dr Gary Mahon visited the plant to deliver a two-day training course to a group of around twenty people from the rolling and finishing operations.

How we were involved

The aluminium foil training course covered the metallurgy of foil alloys, thin foil requirements for converted products, and how product performance can be affected by both foil rolling and foil stock quality.

The course written for Amcor Flexibles Singen was based upon our aluminium foil training course. The aim of this course is to increase the client’s knowledge of material behaviour during fabrication and in service. We cover topics such as metallurgy, corrosion, surface treatment and coating. Within each topic there’s a section on the most common defects and their origin which our delegates usually find very useful.

The course is written and delivered by technical specialists with expertise in aluminium foil who have worked in the industry for many years.
