It will give you more in-house problem solving capability, so you’re less reliant on your suppliers.
You’ll get an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of aluminium rolling from internationally recognised experts.
Our Aluminium Rolling Technology Course is the only rolling course specifically for aluminium. It’s our most popular training course and, since the first one in 2005, we’ve welcomed delegates from over 60 different companies.
|All the teachers are experts in aluminium technology. This course gave me the opportunity to add the theory of rolling to my practical background.
Matteo Paci, Production Manager, Profilglass
|The course gave a very good overview of the whole rolling process. The presentations were easy to understand, and the notes are excellent for further study. I liked the small group size and the warm, welcoming atmosphere from the first day to the last.
Timm Sugg, Engineer for Production Technology, Rio Tinto Alcan
The Aluminium Rolling Technology Course covers all the key aspects of hot and cold rolling of aluminium flat products. Our consultants, who have a huge amount of industry experience, write and deliver the modules. They’re very familiar with the day-to-day issues of a rolling plant and they’ve created this course to help you solve them. Many of the presentations are supplemented with hands-on workshop sessions.
Each delegate receives a 750 page reference manual containing the presentation and workshop material, as well as an electronic version on a USB stick.
The course is recognised by the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3) as Professional Development.
The course is primarily designed for engineers and managers who work in aluminium rolling. However, it would also benefit managers requiring an up-to-date overview of quality-improving technology, as well as engineers new to the field of rolling.
We restrict the attendance to allow ample time for questions and discussion.
The duration of the course is 10 x half day sessions and, for the foreseeable future, it will take place as a live online event via Microsoft Teams. The timetable above is a provisional one for 2020’s November training course. It contains an extra session (Mill Vibration) and slightly more hours of teaching than the original.
If there are many people in your company who would benefit from the Aluminium Rolling Technology Course, we can run it on your site at a date that’s convenient for you.
