01709 724300Ahmed holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen (2018) and a PhD from the University of Leeds (2022), where his research focused on the effect of cooling rate on aluminium containing multi component alloys.
He continued at Leeds as a post-doctoral researcher from 2022 to 2023, investigating rapid solidification and its influence on iron solubility in aluminium alloys.
From 2023 to 2025, Ahmed worked as a Research Fellow at BCAST, developing and qualifying high recycled content alloys as part of the UKRI Circular Metals project. He now brings his expertise in metallurgy and circularity to Innoval, providing technical and sustainability support to clients across the aluminium value chain.
