Daniel studied Materials Engineering at Loughborough University before entering the steel industry where he worked on both product and process metallurgy. His experience, which encompassed the automotive, aerospace, energy generation and general engineering sectors, forged a passion for casting technologies. As a Senior Process Metallurgist for casting operations, Daniel’s work included technical investigations, process development, customer liaison and fostering student engagement.

In 2016, he joined Jaguar Land Rover’s Systems Robustness Team where he collaborated with the Materials Engineering department to develop bespoke quality frameworks. Daniel eventually moved to Materials Engineering as the Lead Engineer for Castings where he played a crucial role in introducing new materials and suppliers to vehicle programmes, whilst developing the metals decarbonisation roadmap. In 2022 Daniel assumed the role of Product Owner where he supported the Metals Group in adopting Agile working practices and driving initiatives to enhance technical robustness and project delivery.

Daniel joined Innoval in 2024 as Senior Engineer for Sustainability & Strategic Projects. He works on the development and enhancement of Innoval’s process models, while supporting the company’s growing capability in Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Sustainability Analysis.
