Matt is a Senior Metallurgist, supporting customer projects with extensive expertise in metallography, materials testing, and industrial applications.
With over 35 years of experience across aerospace, nuclear, steel, and aluminium industries, he specialises in metallography, diffusion coatings, and advanced materials characterisation.

01709 724300Matt has over 35 years in Metallography and Materials testing. Covering Steels, Aerospace High Temperature Diffusion Coatings, Nuclear Reactors, Aluminium Beverage cans and Composites.
He studied Materials Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University part time whilst working in R&D in the steel industry.
In 2004, Matt moved to the USA and worked at Pratt and Whitney helping develop Aluminide CVD coatings on LPT/HPT Blades and vanes.
After Returning to the UK 13 yrs later he worked with Rolls Royce Nuclear, BAE Submarines, Ball Beverage cans and Struers taking on several roles as Metallurgist and Engineering management positions.
Matt joined Innoval in 2025 as a Senior Metallurgist.. He works on many customers projects using his vast experience in Industry and Materials testing.
