Aluminium Beverage Cans Training Course

Developing a thorough understanding of aluminium beverage cans will help you get to the root cause of problems faster. You’ll also be able to develop better products.

If you manufacture aluminium beverage cans or supply someone who does, or you’re a customer of the can-makers, our Aluminium Beverage Cans training course could help you.

If you’re new to the beverage can industry, this course provides excellent background knowledge.

How this course can help

The aim of our Aluminium Beverage Cans training course is to increase your knowledge of material behaviour during manufacture and in service. We cover topics such as metallurgy, lubrication, surface treatment and coating, and corrosion. Within each topic there’s a section on the most common defects and their origin which our delegates usually find very useful.

This course is written and delivered by technical specialists with expertise in beverage cans who have worked in the industry for many years.

One of our experts, Dr Gary Mahon, wrote this blog about earing control in Can Body Stock. You can also read what Prof. Geoff Scamans has to say about aluminium can recycling.

Who is it for?

Our Aluminium Beverage Cans training course is designed for graduates in an engineering or materials discipline. However, experienced operators would also benefit from attending.

Each delegate receives a full set of course materials.

How long is the course and when is the next one?

The course is usually two days long, with each module taking approximately half a day. As with all of our training courses (apart from the Aluminium Rolling Technology Course), it is bespoke. This means we design this course specifically to your requirements, taking into account your products, processes and the experience of your people. We then send our consultants to deliver the course on your site at a time that is convenient to you.

You get the training you really need in the most efficient way possible; everyone learns together whilst avoiding costly travel expenses.

If you click on Course Details pdf you’ll see a list of modules which provide a guide for us to work around when designing your course.
