Dr. Ceri Williams

Ceri is part of our Materials Development team.

She specialises in developing new analysis techniques to solve any materials related problem.

Ceri graduated with a DPhil in Materials Science from Oxford University where she also held a post-doctoral position working on nano-materials. She joined Innoval’s Materials Development team in 2014 and spent several years working on failure analysis in aluminium components.

Ceri now works primarily on alloy development projects. She specialises in ultra-high resolution characterisation of precipitates in aluminium, and aims to link what can be seen in the microstructure to the mechanical properties of the alloy. She collaborates extensively with universites across the UK to bring cutting edge analytical techniques to our clients.

Ceri also secures funding for our longer term collaborative research projects (including sponsoring PhD students) which investigate some of the more fundamental questions relating to aluminium microstructural development.
