If you’re new to the foil packaging industry, this course provides excellent background knowledge.
The aim of our Aluminium Foil Packaging training course is to increase your knowledge of material behaviour during manufacture and in service. We cover topics such as metallurgy, corrosion, surface treatment and coating. Within each topic there’s a section on the most common defects and their origin which our delegates usually find very useful.
This course is written and delivered by technical specialists with expertise in aluminium foil who have worked in the industry for many years. One of our experts, Vicente Martin, has written these blogs about foil rolling:
Why roll grinding is critical to foil rolling
Aluminium foil quality: final anneal
Aluminium foil quality: surface analysis
Modelling tensions in a thin foil separator
Our Aluminium Foil Packaging training course is designed for graduates in an engineering or materials discipline. However, experienced operators would also benefit from attending.
Each delegate receives a full set of course materials.
The course is usually two days long, with each module taking approximately half a day. As with all of our training courses (apart from the Aluminium Rolling Technology Course), it is bespoke. This means we design this course specifically to your requirements, taking into account your products, processes and the experience of your people. We then send our consultants to deliver the course on your site at a time that is convenient to you.
You get the training you really need in the most efficient way possible; everyone learns together whilst avoiding costly travel expenses.
If you click on the Course Details pdf you’ll see a list of modules which provide a guide for us to work around when designing your course.
